Pastor Robert Scales is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. For many years Robert was in bondage to many addictions including the following: marijuana, alcohol, cocaine, crack, gambling and theft.  The bondages and addictions caused depression, daily torments and suicidal tendencies.

In June of 1988 Robert admitted himself to a drug treatment center to get relief from his problems. There he received more than relief. . . he began his personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and experienced his delivering power.

For over 10 years now Robert has been free from his addictions and has had no desire to go back to his old lifestyle because of the Words of Jesus.

In February 1989 Robert received a vision from God to become an evangelist. Since that time Reverend Robert Scales has traveled nationally as well as internationally proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.  In 1994 he founded Jesus Is The Answer Ministries and through that organization he ministers in prisons,  jails, churches and to everyone he meets.  Many people have been saved, delivered, healed and set free through his ministry.
